The Utah Science Technology and Research Initiative (USTAR) and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Salt Lake Petroleum Section are hosting a one-half day workshop on oil shale in Utah. The workshop will be from 8:45 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. on November 13, 2008. Breakfast and lunch are provided. Registration and continental breakfast start at 8:00 a.m. The entrance fee is $30.00, to partially defray expenses. The venue is the Leonardo, 209 East 500 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84011 (http://theleonardo.org/bodyworlds/visitor-info/#transportation-section). The agenda is shown below. There will be 15 minute presentations with questions covering the resource, technologies, environmental and processing.
